Chad army attacks followers of spiritual leader

The Chadian army has killed more than 60 followers of the Muslim spiritual leader Ahmat Ismael Bichara.
Four soldiers died in the heavy fighting that broke out in Kouno, some 300 kilometres from the capital N'Djamena, after government troops surrounded Mr Bichara's base to arrest him.
Dozens more of Mr Bichara's supporters were injured.
The spiritual leader had threatened to launch a holy war in Chad to strengthen the Islamic faith, which according to the government, amounted to terrorism.
