Concentrated fighting breaks out in Somalia
Denmark News.Net Wednesday 2nd July, 2008
Heavy fighting in Somalia has left at least 47 people dead.
In the capital Mogadishu, 11 of the victims died when Islamist insurgents clashed with Ethiopian troops and Ugandan peacekeepers.
Another 36 people, including civilians and insurgents, were killed when rebels struck an Ethiopian troop convoy some 400 kilometres north of the Somali capital.
The latest incident in the 18-month-old insurgency has come just one week before a United Nations-mediated ceasefire between Islamist factions in southern Somalia and the interim Somali government is to take effect.
Ethiopian troops intervened one year ago to help oust the Islamists from power.

Let them kill each other,I hope one day they will come into a term.
And the Muslim world will be at peace again.I for one can not understand the logic about Muslims killing each other. I guess the bottom line is power. The stronger sect will take over the faith.
