A Danish businessman's experience with China's democracy

"It's a Chinese-style democracy, which works very well for China."

Simon Lichtenberg, a Danish entrepreneur who has lived in Shanghai for more than three decades, has gained firsthand experience of China's whole-process people's democracy.

He has taken part in legislative consultations and seen many of his suggestions adopted into policy documents or incorporated into Chinese laws.
